JOMDD welcomes two new global medical device experts to its advisory board

TOKYO, Japan, April 2018 — the Japanese Organization for Medical Device Development, Inc. (JOMDD) welcomes Enora Rogers and Damon Lawson, experts in the US lifesciences and medical device industries. Enora Rogers is a non-clinical trial and design verification expert, sharing her extensive experience from research and development teams at global medical device manufacturers. She will be supporting JOMDD by prototyping innovative medical devices and developing strategies to meet global standards. Meanwhile, Damon Lawson has a breadth of experience and skills in medical device marketing. JOMDD’s global development is expected to expand even more rapidly with his expertise.

Engineer with expertise in nonclinical trials, R & D design of medical device

After obtaining a Master of Science degree at M.I.T (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), she went on to work as the Principal Engineer at several global medical device companies including Cordis and OrbusNeich, developing advanced catheter coatings and stent technologies. Beyond R&D, she designed and managed the non-clinical trials for medical devices. In 2005, she began Enora Rogers, Inc. to share her expertise. Outside of technical expertise, she is skilled at negotiating with all stakeholders in the development process, such as the regulatory authorities. Her skills in R&D and non-clinical study design are an invaluable asset to the medical device industry – with her participation in early stage technologies, JOMDD expects to accelerate the development of its global projects.

■ Mr. Damon Lawson
Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), EZeeBUY
Specialist in medical device marketing

Previous to his career in medical devices, Damon worked in the ICU at hospitals and clinics in US. He entered the industry as a product manager, and in a few years advanced to Vice President, International Marketing, at Hill-Rom,Co., Inc. He expanded his experience into global medical device companies such as J&J, specializing in their sterilization products. He was transferred to Japan to lead the sterilization business in 2012, living in Japan ever since. He is experienced in developing and executing marketing strategies for a wide range of disease segments. Even when assigned to executive roles in Japan, he has excelled in relationship building with KOLs. We believe that his extensive worldwide network, experience, and information management capabilities will contribute to early stage marketing for JOMDD in our North American business development.
